Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you need to clean up your mess quickly, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacuums and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly with an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combo. It has the latest features. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a mini map of your house and some on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another notable feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode according to dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it comes across dust. Carpeted areas are given priority for mopping using a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller comes with many other smart features, including a dock that connects to the plumbing system in your home to clean and wash it without having to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 you can make use of voice commands to set the cleaning mode of your room and provide precise control with just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free with mopping capabilities. It's among the many combinator robot vacuums that include mops that are also available at a lower cost than other models.
As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This involves setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've completed this, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping easily.
It's worth noting that the mapping process takes some time and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. The object detection feature is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles however, it got stuck on a rug with tassels and required a flip to free itself. But these are minor issues, and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those looking for an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubbing. This means that floors are cleaned and not just swept. The detachable stick vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to get into places that a robotic vacuum can't.
This model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacle avoidance. And the smart app lets you modify the settings of your choice, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each task to clean their pads and empty their dust bins, and then place the debris in the self-sealing bags. This keeps the system clean, and prevents allergens recirculating. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without needing a charge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that has impressive features for a reasonable price. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power as well as a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also boasts a unique mopping system, which utilizes a continuous roller doused with water to pull up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology performed well and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps. It was unable to handle small particles and did not always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in line with the regular schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app, which provides an overview of the system and plenty of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuums/mowers available, and it provides an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision. The application lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, define zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which could be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. made a post mopping system also incorporates smart carpet detection, lifting these pads upward when they're near soft surfaces to avoid contaminating the carpet.
The docking station acts as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their dust bins every time they have to be cleaned.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my home office tidy. It is also able to reach the corners of my small apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to build an image of your area and knows where not to go. In addition, unlike other vacuums with mopping capabilities it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).
It also has some outstanding notable features, like an automatic emptying dustbin, a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching sweeper brush that is able to reach places that other mops don't. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you want to cut down on time, it will skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the money to buy the Roborock with advanced mapping features.

7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice to consider if you're seeking a flexible robot that can do both regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It has a range of features, including a self emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, as well as customizable settings via the app. It's surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to remove tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains slightly more quickly than other models in our tests.
With a cost of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and useful automation into a slick design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it did very well. It comes with a variety of cleaning modes, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the more powerful 'Turbo mode' for carpeted areas. It will even automatically remove and reattach the mop pads, without getting your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great mop and robot vacuum for those who live in small areas. It's extremely quiet and speedy, and it is a great choice for getting around tight spots. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a good amount of suction power, and it's possible to take a photo of each object it finds (i.e., chew toys or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they don't get removed during subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure and aren't linked to your account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot and drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
